More Photos of Gus

A happy looking Gus.

A serious looking Gus.

My Weekend with Gus

First of all, I would like to welcome my good friend, Gus, into our doghouse! Gus will be staying with us for the weekend. Here's a photo of Gus on the left. Don't you think he looks comical, the way he poses for the camera?

I have noticed that Gus has a few wrinkles on his muzzle. Well, I guess this comes with age - he is 5 after all! Anyway, I tried suggesting botox and collagen injections to him, but he thinks I'm mad! I was only trying to be helpful!!!

Taking a short break from all the wrestling.

Tired dogs.

This is our first 'civilized' photo. Missus found it impossible to get us to sit and behave at the same time - we were having so much fun together. After some coaxing, we managed to 'strike a few poses'.

Me and Gus posing reluctantly for the camera.

Trying our best to look happy.

Our attentiveness falters...

... gearing to go for more wrestling.

Gus

This is Gus.

I am so excited and just had to tell you that I've made another new friend! He is a Boston Terror (oops…I mean Terrier) and his name is Gus. Gus is 5 years old and he loves to play! The best news is that he will be coming over to my place this coming weekend to chill! Me, Gus and Dad will have a boy's night in, watching sport on TV, drinking beer and eating popcorn. Maybe we’ll even go out to paint the town red!

Crufts 2007

During the humans' holiday away from me, apparently they visited the Crufts dog show. CRUFTS! How could they??? This is the most important event in 'Dogdom', and they went there without me.

Afer I sulked for 30 minutes or so, Missus showed me some pictures that she took during the show.

The Golden Retrievers in the show ring. None of them look as handsome as me.

Getting ready for the judge. Look at the paws, they're huge.

Doing the 'catwalk'.

Trotting... trotting... and trotting....

Heading back to their benches.

This dog won 'Best in Breed' for golden retrievers. I can't see how he is any better looking than me!!!

"What are you looking at?"

This dog looks like he's got constipation. Is he trying to fart?

The civilised retrievers were resting next to their respective benches.

The attentive Border Collies.

Posing for the camera - the British Bulldog.

A pudgy Labrador.

A distracted German Shepherd.

"Let's look to the left!" - Weimaraners.

Longhaired Weimaraner

Bull Mastiff

Bloodhound - I think it looks like my Missus...

Bolognese

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Great Pyrenees.

Catalan Sheepdog.

Old English Sheepdog.

Rottweiler

Bedlington Terrier - Fondly refered to as "Beadling-ton Terror".

Irish Wolfhound

Check out the size of the Irish Wolfhound. It is bigger and taller (when it stands) than Missus!

Irish Wolfhounds get together.

This Otterhound appeared in one of the BBC talk shows. This breed is close to extinction. As it stands, there are only 61 Otterhounds left in Britain.

Her name is Cherish.

Danke, Takk and Thank You

My holidays with Mark, Claudia and Fredrik came to an end when the humans returned from their holiday. Although I had looked forward to their return, at the same time I felt a little sad at having to leave my new found friends. I had spent an incredible time with them over the past two weeks.

I hope we can do this more often (hint!).

Mountain Running and Peeing Like a Man

After staying for a couple of days with Mark whilst my human parents were away on their holidays, I was brought over to stay with Claudia and Fredrik. They were extremely nice to me and always showered me with loads of attention.

This is me and Claudia getting cosy. Fredrik was hiding somewhere...

I had a great time during my stay with them. Claudia and Fredrik are very fit humans, much fitter than Missus and Dad. On a couple of occasions, they took me for a ten kilometer run in the mountains. At first, I did not know what to expect as it's been a while since I conquered a flight of stairs, let alone a mountain. Anyway, I put on a brave front and went with them.

This is me at the starting point. This should be no problem for an athlete like me.

This is easy. I just need to enjoy the nature, pick up rubbish and sniff around. Hey, I saw a tiger! Sorry, that was Claudia hiding behind the bush.

Ten minutes later, I was lagging behind. It came to the point where I was no longer walking, I was almost crawling...

I had to stop for a rest, I could not take it anymore. I needed water...

'Pant!' 'Pant!' 'Pant!' Water! Water! Where's the water? I am dying...

Thank god for that!

That was not all. During my stay, Fredrik noticed that I am still doing my girly squart when I pee. Feeling sorry for me, he showed me how to pee like a real man by cocking his leg up against the tree. He didn't pee of course!
