Archangel

I've recently made yet another new friend. (At this rate, I'll have to get myself a PDA - that's a 'Personal Dog Assistant' to keep track of all my mates.). Meet Archangel, a one year old Siberian Husky.

Archangel is a nonchalant character, who always appears aloof when you meet him.

However, don't judge a book by it's cover, he can be cheeky at times and tends to have a 'wicked' look on his face whenever he plays.

Archangel said to me that he likes to look 'mysterious'. That must be why he always has this weird mask on his face when he goes out.

Anyway, when we're back in the apartment, it's 'muzzles off' and ready for some serious action.

A Stroll on the Promenade

These are some photos of me and Balu taken last Saturday when we went for a walk along the promenade just outside Coastal Rose Garden. I apologise for the delay in publishing them - we've been kind of busy for the past couple of days and so I was unable to meet the my 'deadline'. Anyway, here they are.

The Chinese will be celebrating Mid-Autumn festival in a couple of days. As you can see in the background, the Coastal Rose Garden Management had put in some effort to decorate the promenade with big red lanterns. Can you see them?

We were sitting on the bench enjoying the breeze and checking out the lanterns.

We soon realised that there was nothing special about those red lanterns. After all, we couldn't take them down and eat them. So, naturally, it was not surprising that our attentions were soon diverted elsewhere.

OK, let's go somewhere else.

We stopped at this spot to enjoy the view and, unfortunately, smell the sewage...

The humans got us into position to take a few scenic shots.

Here's one with a back view of Coastal Rose Garden.

Don't we look well-behaved???

A Trip to Seaworld in Shekou

It was a breezy afternoon and the humans decided to take me to the town since I've been behaving myself. So, on our way to Seaworld, we met an English Sheepdog called Shaggy.

This is Shaggy.

Shaggy is only one year old and he is as goofy as me.

We became friends quickly...

... and we loved to wrestle!

I also get to know a small dog. According to his owner, he is nine years old and he has no teeth. I've decided to call him Mr. Gums since I don't know his real name.

We played for a while...

... and checked out each other's bums.

The humans also took me to the butcher's shop. Mmmm... food.

How can any canines resist this glorious food??? Thank goodness Missus bought some chicken for me. I am having chicken for dinner! Whoppee!

Copycat

There's something about Balu I've noticed. He loves to follow me around and 'copy' my actions. He's like my little shadow. I'm not sure why he does this. Is it because I smell nice? Am I cool? Does he like my swagger? Or maybe it's just because Balu is still a puppy and I'm an adult now. We all need someone to look up to and perhaps Balu sees me as his 'grown-up' role model. Anyway, if you don't believe me, I've attached some photos of Balu's 'copycat actions' below.

I get on the sofa... Balu gets on the sofa (don't tell his humans, in case he gets into trouble!).

I find something interesting to look at... guess who joins me?

I spot another dog... but I can't keep it a secret with Balu around.

Even when I jump on my favourite viewing spot... Balu has to squeeze in as well.

Bang! Bang! You're Dead!

I've just learnt a new trick. Whenever Missus says "Bang!", I'm supposed to fall over and 'play dead'. Unfortunately, my stupid tail won't stop wagging. Anyway, Missus is patient and waits for it to stop. I then get my treat! Muah ha ha ha... Here's a video of my great acting performance.

Balu's place

I spoke to Balu on the phone this morning and he asked me to come over to his place to 'chill'. Of course I agreed without any hesitation!

We were so happy and excited when we met! I made a mad dash towards Balu and ran into the balcony glass door instead. Still, that didn't deter me from saying hello to him. Then, it all went crazy, we were chasing each other and galloping around the apartment. Balu wouldn't let me out of his sight. Anyway, I've attached some photos and a video clip of the rare moments when we were resting.

We were tired but happy!

Our goofy smiles.

I look scruffy. The fur on my ears were wet with Balu's saliva!

I am exhausted and I want to go home (but I am very happy).

My afternoon with Balu

This afternoon, I got to spend some time playing with Balu at my place.

This is me and Balu. He thinks he looks better in the photos with his eyes shut??? Tsk! Puppies nowadays, they really don't know how to pose.

Me trying to catch my breathe. As usual, Balu is off with the ball, hoping that I'll come after him.

This photo is firm evidence of Balu trying to get on the sofa... I hope his parents see it! Ha ha...

For your information, Balu had this ball in his mouth for at least thirty minutes!

For once, I got a moment to rest while that 'monkey' amused himself with something else.

I am too tired to play...

These photos (above and below) were not easy for Missus to take. We had to be cajoled with treats in order for her to get us to sit still.

I must say, we've done pretty well!
