Oh-oh! It's that time of year again - Halloween. The dreaded time when spooky ghouls and witches come out to play.
And even worse...the dreaded time when Yours Truly gets dressed up in some ridiculous costume by Missus! I'm still 'haunted' from years gone by where I miraculously morphed into a
ghost, a
wizard,
Dracula and, scariest of them all,
'Lord Gaga'.
This year, it took me a while to work out what Missus had in store fro me...

| Things were taking a turn towards the bizarre. I looked like I was dressed to play snooker. |

| And what the heck am I supposed to be now? Amish? |

| A 'highwayman'? |
 |
| Finally it all became clear. I'm a swashbuckling pirate like Jack Sparrow. |

| But I'm much better looking than Johnny Depp! |
 |
| My name is 'Horrible Homer - the hooked hooligan of the high seas'. (But you can call me Homer for short). |

ReplyDeleteMy DSLR is entry level Canon rebel with the regular lens that came with it. NOt a particularlly "fast" lens, it's a 18-55mm lens. I don't take it on dog walks with me because i have so much stuff with me, leashes, treats, e-collar remote, keys and poop bags not to mention my phone and then camera. so i opt for my point and shoot on all dog walks. we used the DSLR for our Lucerne post.
The point and shoot has a really decent 6-22mm lens with a 2.0 aperature so it can do macros pretty decently. I mean, for not being a wide angle macro lens and all. it's not half bad. it's much harder to do anything with a long focal point tho other than getting everything in focus, which it does fairly well! I love my point and shoot a lot. and i love my DSLR too, but i want a way better and faster lens for it... but Mr. WD is too cheap ... says i won't use it. darn him! LOL.
anyway...that's why i use point and shoot a lot on my blog.
i also have a decent telephoto lens for the DSLR. it's not bad, a 55-250 mm but i rarely need it, even in city shots. i use it for moon shots (see my Harvet Woo-lighting post, that has my DSLR telephoto lens)...
anyway. it's all your fault for putting that earbug in my ear about a good camera. darn you. ;)
