A Doggie Tea Party

A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to a special Doggie Tea Party. Yay!!!

The event was held at a very swanky hotel. Here's the welcome sign.

The turnout was great! There were dogs of all different varieties - big dogs, small dogs, fat dogs, skinny dogs, old dogs, young dogs, crazy dogs, lazy dogs and even hot dogs!

That's me sniffing around for FOOD...

...and checking out the babes!

Despite my best efforts, I couldn't get this lady's attention.

Nevertheless, I did make tons of friends during the afternoon!

For instance, I got to know these friendly Labradors, Rae and Audie (sorry if I've spelt their names wrong).

I also got on well with these two Jack Russells, Joey and Jack.

But there was one special guy who I was dying to meet.

This is me with Helios . It was Helios who first inspired me to start blogging. Well, actually, it was Helios' older brother, Herbie, who was my initial inspiration. Unfortunately, Herbie passed away a few years ago, but his protégé Helios has now taken-up the blogging reins.

As well as making lots of four-legged friends, there were some (not so) serious competitions to take part in at the pawty. First there was the 'best teeth' contest...

I thought I couldn't lose with these 'pearly whites'...

...but this guy, Pinot, obviously uses better toothpaste than me!

Next though was the competition which I'd been training for my whole life. Can you guess what it was?

Believe it or not, this was for the contest for the 'biggest dog at the pawty'!

And the winner was...

Aroooo! Yours Truly was the Champion!!!

Before we all left, the organisers held a lucky draw. Guess who won the star prize...

Arooooo, me again! The prize was this huge cake.

I was all ready to scoff the lot. Unfortunately, Missus agreed to have the cake cut into pieces and shared with all the other doggies at the pawty. Bah!

Anyway, I had a fantastic day. My thanks go to the Singapore ASD (the Action for Singapore Dogs Society - a local doggie shelter) which organised the festivities. I can't wait for the next one!

I'm SIX!

Today is my BARKDAY! I am six years old! And still a hot looking stud! Arooo... roo... roo...

For my barkday, I got lots of treats and toys!

Can you guess which one is my favourite?

I picked the LION!

If you think I am scared of lions, you're WRONG!

I wrestle lions for fun!

Besides getting treats and toys, I got...

'FLOATY' BALLOONS!

The best part of all - I got a special barkday cake!

Man, it looked yummy!

Before I could have my cake and eat it, I had to pose for the camera.

I sat anxiously waiting to blow out the candle.

"Gimmee...gimmee...GIMMEEE!" Arghhhhhh....

Finally it was time to tuck in! Hooray!

Slurp...slobber...munch...!

"How did that cream land on my nose?"

Finally, I wolfed down the last bit...

...and licked the remains from my lips. I'm such a messy eater.

All in all I had a wonderful day. Happy Barkday to me... Happy Barkday to me... Arooo...roooooo.

My Singapore Surroundings

The last couple of weeks have been very hectic for us, so forgive me if I have not blogged for a while. You see, we have moved out of the serviced apartment which we were staying in. Our new (temporary) home is right across from the serviced apartment, so the surroundings are pretty much the same...

See how close my 'old' place and my 'new' place are!

Me and Dad on one of our regular walks.

"Missus, will you hurry up? We want to find some shade!"

Missus made me pose for an obligatory photo shoot...

...and another.

Occasionally during my walks, I stop by the river to look at my reflection and check out how booti-ful I am.

Of course, my narcissistic thoughts are often rudely interrupted by my humans.

Anyway, me and Dad were checking out some gorgeous looking babes.

Like this cutie. I couldn't help but try to get close to her! Unfortunately, I didn't get her name.

Before long, we were off walking again, hoping to meet up with some more nice doggies. Pretty soon, I bumped into one...

This Labrador invited me for a couple of pints. Alas, Dad didn't bring any money with him and I'm broke! Oh well, next time.

Before I knew it, we were heading home. Despite Singapore's heat and humidity, I really enjoy my walks.

Anyway, bye for now. I wish everyone a great weekend!

P.S.: It has just dawned on me that it will be my barkday at the end of June. I'm going to be six years old! Woof! Woof!  Let the celebration begins!

My New (Temporary) Home in Singapore

I know I've not been updating my blog for a while - I apologise. My humans have been busy during the last couple of weeks. Dad has been settling in to his new job and the Missus has been house hunting and stuffing her face with local food. Anyway, today I managed to get Missus to help me type out a posting about what has been happening during the past couple of weeks.

As you know, we have already been in Singapore for a month. At the moment, we are temporarily staying in a serviced apartment until we find a permanent place to stay.

Let me show you around...

Me and Dad posing outside the serviced apartments.

Our apartment may be small...

... but cosy. Here I am in my living room.

The little study table in the back is where I do my blogging. Blog! Blog! Blog!

This is my big bed. Occasionally, I allow my humans to sleep here too!

And, this is me in the guest room.

My apartment comes with a pool view too!

I spend countless hours watching the world go by...

...or just watching myself fall asleep!

Enough about my apartment, let me tell you about the wonderful friends I've made here...

...For instance, these gentlemen always pet me when they see me going for my daily walks.

And, this guy is my ardent fan. No matter how busy he is, he always finds time to get my attention. I love him.

This is me and the friendly housekeeper - She always calls me 'Puppy'! I love this nickname, it makes me feel so young! Heheheheh...

OK folks, that's a little bit about where I'm staying. I'll let you know a little bit more about my surroundings in my next post. Have a great week! Woof!
