Homer’s Christmas Card Photoshoot 2013

Christmas is coming and I’ve been so busy getting ready for the festive season. For instance, I put up the tree; I worked on my Christmas shopping list and I spent hours trying to get the right pose for my Christmas Card.

The photo session was fun, albeit tiring. After posing for several hours, my jaws were locked and my smile was ‘frozen’ on my face. But the Missus didn’t care; she was more concerned with getting the right shot - What a slave driver!

Anyway, here are some of the outtakes. What do you think of them?

Title of the photo: "Strike a Pose" - I love this shot because my nose doesn't look too big and I'm not showing too much tongue and teeth. And the pose was great! Don't you think?

Title of the photo: "Homer's Profile Shot" - I love this one too! Look at my big, googly eye. Mesmerising eh?

Title of the photo: "Drool" - This could have been the 'ONE', if only I wasn't drooling. Not very glamourous and dignified.

Title of photo: "Squint" - I don't know what happened to this one. I guess I forgot to open my eyes? Gee…me bad.

Title of the photo: "Frosty Face" - By this time, I was very annoyed, frustrated and angry (the Missus forgot to give me my treats!).

Title of the photo: "Missing Hat" - Somewhere, somehow I lost my Santa hat! Yikes!

Title of the photo: "I Can't See" - The title speaks for itself.

After a long heated debate with the Missus,, we decided to choose this photo:

Title of the photo: "Love and Joy" - That's the main theme of the Christmas Card.

This is the finale result. :)

For those of you who haven't yet received the original version (and those of you who the Missus (not me) forgot to post one to), this one is especially for you.

Also, I would like to say a big thank you to those who have sent me a card. They are booti-ful and I love them all!

Woof!

You did a great job with your photo shoot. Our photo shoot was very similar to yours, but mom was happy enough with the final result.

I would say that the result was worth the suffering, but of course, I wasn't the one doing the suffering. Fabulous, Homer!

FANTASTIC photos!!! We think you look wonderful in all of them - even the 'Squint' where you look like you're laughing at your Momma!

Hi Homer! I'm Ellen, Joey the Golden Retriever's mom. Joey recently passed away from cancer and we miss him terribly. I decided to look up some of Joey's old friends from Dogs With Blogs and was so happy to find you still blogging - and looking handsomer than ever! The reason I stopped blogging was because when Zeke, the German Shepherd puppy we adopted, got as big as Joey, all they did was fight. We tried everything, but it got so bad we finally had to rehome Zeke, and felt so bad about it that I just didn't know how to write about it on the blog. But all Joey's blogging friends were so special to us. I'm so sorry to see that so many have also gone on. Joey had a very happy, loving life and I know if he were here he'd say, "Merry Christmas, Homer! See ya, Joey."
