As I mentioned in my last blog, my humans recently visited Rome. Apparently they had a great time. While there, they discovered some interesting pieces of ancient art.
As you know, I’m a bit of a ‘culture-vulture’ dog and so I thought I’d share some of my humans’ holiday snaps with you...

This is also a bust of Homer. Apparently, he was a very famous ancient Greek poet. You can read more about him here.
Another bust of Homer. I’m so honoured to be named after such an intelligent and famous man. Funny though, I always thought he looked different from the images on these busts...
Anyway, my humans also took some photos of the busts of Greek Homer’s friends. Here are a few...
Here’s Socrates. He was a very famous philosopher (whatever that is?).
This is Diogenes. He was another distinguished philosopher.
Enough of this arty-farty stuff – my head hurts...
PS: On a totally different subject, I want to take this opportunity to wish Missus a very Happy Birthday. I ‘woof’ you. Lots of sloppy licks from ‘The Real Homer’.

Oh, Homer, thank God your name is Homer! BOL Can you imagine your hoomans calling you "Hey PYthagoras, come here!", or "Aww, Diogenes, why did you go and chew that?"...
I love your name.
And, by the way, since I was a pup that I love watching the Simpsons... I don't know if it is 'cause of the colors or so... but I stay put and sit quiet and watch it until the end!
By the way... how do you spell my name?? My name is "Peeepa", but it ocurred to me that it must sound diferently, in englis... more like "paipa"... doesn't it?
From intelectual Peeepa, to intelectual Homie, with emotional love

Homer,
Why don't those statues look broken if their busts? We have a theoryem about that Pythagarus guy; a square like him plus be square like crazy = see squares everywhere. When will the Rome people finishing builing the ball park at the top of your posting? It doesn't look anywhere near done yet.

2 Homer from Homer J. (All the Way),
Tell Missus that our gave away her 2 Kirby vacumn cleaner and bought a Dyson "Animal" vacumn which is the best Golden Retriever hair picker upper ever created; it also works well on Newfoundland hair if any ever accidently gets in the house and it is super duper on fin ding Alex, Boru and Jenny cat fuzz, which seems to be all over the place; especially after a kitty Whoopass session.

Hey Homer!
Yes, Waldo's skin is doing better. He's still on lots of medicine, but he has a lot more hair than before. Did you read our most recent update? It was on January 10th.
Wuv,
Dog Mom
Hi Homer! It's nice to come back and see all the Homers again. To answer your question, there was a sign at the dog park saying no puppies under four months were allowed - I'm not sure why, but the vaccination idea is a good one.
See ya!
Joey

I thought your hoomans had somehow spoken to Spencer's hoomans and obtained some news!
Don't worry, of course that they will understand any misunderstanding! We're all really worried about Spencie, that's the truth!
I wish that our strenght could somehow pass to him and get through this to live much more years.
:(
